BASK2

Building upon the foundational work of the BASK program, Lenses on China provides students with the opportunity to engage in meaningful cultural exchange, experiential learning, and thoughtful engagement with key issues related to the People’s Republic of China. This summer program explores changes and transitions in modern China in the context of Chinese history through interdisciplinary lenses: socio-political, historical, environmental, economic, and cultural, among others. It also offers participating students opportunities to direct their own learning, improve their understanding of Chinese language and culture, conduct research in an experiential context, participate in a variety of service learning projects, and share their discoveries. Robust partnerships in China with schools and non-profit organizations allow PA students to interact directly and meaningfully, both during the program and beyond. For more information on the Lenses on China program, please contact Lilia Cai-Hurteau (lcaihurteau@andover.edu) or Liz Monroe (emonroe@andover.edu).
