The 3 week program provides an opportunity for students to practice and advance their Russian language skills while learning about the Russian people first hand. Students travel to Petrozadodsk, Russia (north and east of St. Petersburg) where they live with local host families while taking 4 hours of language instruction per day. There is ample opportunity to take in the local area, which includes the Kizhi museum on an island in Lake Onega. Prior to departing Russia the group spends a couple of days in St. Petersburg taking in some of the countless treasures there.
