Professional Development Opportunity for Faculty

Experiential Learning, Global Education Program to take place June 13 to 15
by Jenny Corke

The Tang Institute’s Learning in the World program is inviting interested faculty members to participate in an exciting professional development opportunity on experiential training and international programming. This three-day workshop, which will take place from Monday June 13, to Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at The Hotchkiss School, is based upon the educational approach “Where There Be Dragons” and is part of a collaboration with the Eight Schools Association Global Directors Group. The training program will feature the “Dragons” approach, with a particular focus on field-based and classroom-based education and how to integrate global experiences into “normal” life. Although participating in this opportunity might make most sense for faculty who lead travel or want to lead travel, it could also be of interest to anyone thinking about experiential education in the classroom. If interested, please email Carmen Muñoz at [email protected].
