The Sweet Spot and Beyond
On Sunday, January 22, at 3 p.m. in the Underwood Room, the series begins with Boston University professor Amy Baltzell’s presentation “The Sweet Spot and Beyond: The Role of Sport Psychology Mental Skills, Positivity, and Mindfulness for Optimal Performance.” Baltzell is a former USA Olympic Rowing Team member and author of the book Mindfulness and Performance: Current Perspectives in Social and Behavioral Sciences. What is Mindfulness?
The series will continue with two more presentations in February. On Tuesday, February 23, and Wednesday, February 24, mindful school instructor Allison Cohen will present “What is Mindfulness?”
Making Friends with One’s Self
On Sunday, February 26, mindfulness expert, entrepreneur, author, and founder of The Open Heart Project Susan Piver will visit campus to present “Making Friends with One’s Self” at 4 p.m. in the Sykes Wellness Center’s Community Room.
